During two days of 21-22 September 2018, under the framework of ASIFOOD project, the training workshop “Food Quality Management for Processing Enterprises” has been organized at the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City. ASIFOOD is a collaboration project funded by European Union under Erasmus +, Key Action 2 (Higher Education Capacity Building) with an emphasis on improving teaching capacity of ASEAN universities to develop curricula related to the safety and quality of food products.

The course has trained staffs in factories and enterprises about the skills, knowledge and practice on basic regulations of quality control in food processing factories such as HACCP, GMP, SSOP. Ten students who completed the course have been granted Certificate of Completion by the Faculty of Food Science and Technology - Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to this training, the Faculty of Food Science and Technology regularly organizes short-term training courses in food fields. Training may be tailored to the company’s requirements, or in cooperation with international partners, such as processing of meat, dairy products, seafood, fruits and vegetables, food safety and factory sanitation.
